Slides on light table with green camera in foreground

There once was a time when cameras didn’t have auto-focus and auto-exposure settings. There once was this thing call film. It was very expensive and you also had to dip it into chemicals in order to see the actual images you captured. Then you had to shine light through the negatives in order to make the actual prints that you could hang on your wall. Crazy right? Well that is the way it used to be, when you had to do more than just point and shoot.

Here is where you will find images from those days; whether from Kirk’s first camera, the plastic, sea foam green “Brownie” his grandmother gave him, to the high-tech all digital world of today, it is still the eye behind the camera that makes the images iconic.
